Folk festivals in the UK 2026

The UK has one of the world's richest folk festival traditions. In 2026 that means Cambridge Folk Festival (Frank Turner, Richard Thompson) in August, Beverley Folk Festival (Ward Thomas, Stornoway) in June, Speyfest in the Scottish Highlands in July, and Middlewich Folk and Boat Festival on the Cheshire canals. From ceilidh barns and trad sessions to contemporary acoustic and Celtic crossover, filter by month, region and vibe to find your weekend.
